Enola Holmes

Set in the late 19th century, this is a story of Enola Holmes. She wakes up on the morning of her 16th birthday to find that her beloved mother, who taught her to be a free spirit and how to master everything from chess to jujitsu, has disappeared, leaving behind some strange gifts. She soon comes under the care of her two brothers, the famous detective Sherlock Holmes and Mycroft who intend to send her away to a finishing school for ‘proper’ young ladies. But strong-willed Enola has other ideas and, disguised as a proper Victorian lady, escapes to London in search of her mother, where she turns detective and becomes embroiled in a mystery surrounding a young runaway.

Some of the filming took place in our very own county, including at the Severn Valley Railway‘s Kidderminster and Arley stations.
