Worcestershire Launches UK’s First Fast Track Location Grant for Filmmakers

Backed by Worcestershire County Council and delivered in partnership with Visit Worcestershire, the Film Office has launched the UK’s first Location Grant with a difference: it’s fast, matched-funded, and built around the needs of filmmakers. With up to £10,000 available towards location costs, the grant is here to help productions discover and choose Worcestershire with confidence.

Who It’s For

The Worcestershire Location Grant is designed to support:

• Film productions – from independent features to major releases
• TV productions – scripted and unscripted
• Commercials – including brand campaigns and seasonal ads
• Music videos – for artists across genres
• Fashion shoots & high-end stills – editorial or commercial

What’s on Offer

• Up to £5,000 (50% of your fee) for one Worcestershire filming location.
• Up to £10,000 (50% of total fees) if you’re filming at two or more Worcestershire locations.
• Free location research from our team to help you find the perfect spot.
• Film-friendly support at every step.

Key Criteria

To be eligible, productions must:

• Film within Worcestershire (at least one confirmed location)
• Stay at least one night in Worcestershire (crew accommodation)
• Match fund their grant request (e.g. spend £10,000 on location costs to receive £5,000)
• Use Worcestershire-based suppliers where possible (crew, catering, facilities)
• Demonstrate a clear distribution or release plan (TV broadcast, theatrical, streaming, commercial, or editorial)
• Submit a Post-Shoot Impact Report (outlining spend, overnight stays, suppliers used, etc.) within 30 days of wrap
