The Commandery Sidbury

Museum and garden with an 800-year history located alongside a canal in an historic cathedral city. The building displays a range of historic periods, including medieval, Tudor and Georgian and has a medieval Great Hall which is the largest space at the heart of this H-shaped building. The building comprises the medieval Great Hall, 17th-century staircase, medieval Solar room, Tudor wood-panelled rooms, library, medieval painted bedroom, Georgian rooms, Victorian kitchen, and a suite of rooms available for private hire. The exterior, beside the canal and gardens, shows a mixture of black and white timber-framed walls and Georgian facades, cobbled courtyard, walled garden, herb garden, and an outer garden. There is a canal-side café on site, as well as facilities, and parking is available for those filming. A gorgeous, historic location for filming and photography.
