Our Highlights of 2023!

Our Highlights of 2023!

Happy New Year to all of our wonderful clients, partners, and suppliers! To all of those who work in this industry, we understand that the changes caused by the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the lack of funding, and postponed productions, have meant that 2023 has been challenging. It is therefore more important than ever to reflect on our achievements and celebrate our accomplishments, as fuel for an even better 2024! Here are just a few of our proudest moments of 2023…

Production Highlights

We coordinated the production of a number of films, TV series, music videos, photo-shoots and more in 2023. TV shows were very popular during the year, and we worked on series such as Joan, The Great Pottery Throwdown, and Help! My House is Haunted, to make their vision come to life across Worcestershire.

Launch and Events

Launching Worcestershire Film Office was our greatest achievement this year, and we have already made such special connections with the community, businesses, and industry professionals in this wonderful county. To celebrate, we gathered at Avoncroft museum for our launch party back in June which was a brilliant success! The overwhelming enthusiasm displayed by attendees was a true testament to the power of collaboration and the shared goal of supporting filmmakers and showcasing Worcestershire. A special thanks again to the Visit Worcestershire team, the leaders of Worcestershire County Council, and all the industry professionals and stakeholders who came to the event!

We also attended the brilliant Worcester Film Festival in October and, of course, had an absolutely wonderful time! We sponsored a lively networking event on the second night, which was the perfect time to share thoughts on the fantastic screenings, and anticipate the exciting journey ahead for film in Worcestershire.

Local Talent and Collaboration

We pride ourselves on sourcing local talent for the productions we coordinate, and collaborating with local businesses and companies to make Worcestershire shine. In 2023, we made invaluable connections with local councils and businesses, working now with 6 councils in the area, and we can’t wait to take this even further in 2024.

Scenic Backdrops in 2023Can you believe we’re lucky enough to have all of these stunning locations in our home county? Here are just a few of the Worcestershire locations that featured on your screens in 2023:

We pride ourselves in sourcing the absolute best location for productions, considering budget, time, and equipment needs. And our team excelled this year, working hard even through power cuts!

Closing Credits

We’re so proud of what we have achieved this year, thank you so much to all who were involved in any aspect of our work – we couldn’t do this without you!

That being said, we can’t wait to kick into action in 2024, we’ve already got lots lined up, we aim to:

  • Actively promote Worcestershire as a filming location and increase the number of productions being taken to the area.
  • Collaborate with DMO’s and councils to increase screen tourism in Worcestershire.
  • Develop a Production Fund and introduce a platform to connect investors with filmmakers.
  • Launch our new ‘Celebrity Broker Service’, sourcing big names for your upcoming events!

Call to Action!

We’re raring to get started this year, but we need your help! We are always on the lookout for more industry suppliers and locations to advertise for filming and photography (did you know that residential properties are our most sought after locations?).
