Worcestershire: Film-Friendly In Every Way

Why film in Worcestershire? What types of locations does the region offer for what productions? What support is provided?

With our recent launch we provide insight into why Worcestershire is an attractive destination for filmmakers and photographers, what locations the region offers and how we help facilitate time perfect productions to meet every budget quickly and efficiently…

Worcestershire’s range of filming locations

Worcestershire’s top locations include Worcester, Bewdley, Broadway, Pershore, Kidderminster, Malvern, Stourport on Severn and Tenbury Wells. Collectively they provide a range of backdrops for filming and photography from landscapes and gardens, rivers and lakes, to a plethora of pedestrianised streets, paths, public highways and roads.

Our books are brimming with locations to meet all production briefs – from feature films, TV shows and documentaries to commercials, fashion shoots and stills. And, with Worcestershire home to several historic sites, including Worcester Cathedral, it is perfect for period dramas.

We’ve also built relationships with local businesses to provide access to privately-owned sites including cafes, restaurants and pubs, caravan parks, crematoriums and cemeteries – all open to filming enquiries. With contacts across each council we have numerous schools, libraries, car parks, recycling centres and leisure centres on our books as well as historic, industrial, commercial and farm buildings. We have residential properties too.

Worcestershire – easy access for filmmakers

Worcestershire is easily accessible by road, rail, and air with major transport links connecting the region to the rest of the UK and beyond, making it a convenient location for filming. Located near major motorways (M5, M42, and M40), several train stations and an airport, Worcester and the surrounding areas are accessible to Birmingham, Bristol and London.

As well as providing filming locations, facilitating enquiries/permits and supporting with logistics, we offer access to a strong network of cast and crew – locally and beyond to Birmingham and Bristol. We also have links to local companies for catering services, vehicle providers and equipment rental.

Worcestershire’s film-friendly community

Our friendly team delivers a professional and personal inclusive service –  from finding the right filming location for a shoot at the right price and applying for the right permits, to providing full film fixer support.

Putting filmmakers at the heart of everything we do, we’ve built strong relationships with local businesses and all district councils to help enable the best filmmaking across Worcestershire. We ensure the film permit application process completes quickly and efficiently and with our customer service being second to none we work quickly and turn things around fast.

We collaborate with Visit Worcestershire who welcomes productions of all sizes to the region. Residents are also warm and welcoming in nature, offering a supportive environment for film and television production.
